"The question many people ask is whether 'waterproof' is the same thing as 'water-resistant'."
The answer is No.
Water-resistant shoes and waterproof shoes look similar when you buy them, but they are made of different materials.
Water resistant” shoes have a degree of resistance to water that is not 100% water resistant, while, waterproof shoes are 100 % water resistant even if you are swimming, taking a bath or showing or you just dropping the shoe inside the water.
Water-resistant” is of lower end of the scale, (lower quality) whereas “waterproof” is on the higher end of the scale, (higher quality).
It doesn't mean water resistant shoes are not of good quality, but it means you need to consider why you want to buy the shoe and what you want to use the shoe for!
Most flip flops or slides you buy should be waterproof, it is sensible to read through what the shoes are made of before buying!
Therefore, waterproof shoes are the best quality of shoes to buy and they last longer than water resistant shoes.
Water-resistant shoes and waterproof shoes are two different types of shoes with varying levels of protection against water. Water-resistant shoes can resist water to a certain degree, but they are not entirely waterproof. They can handle light rain or splashes of water but are not suitable for activities like hiking or walking in the rain.
Note: On the other hand, waterproof shoes are designed to withstand water immersion for an extended period without getting damaged. They are suitable for activities like hiking, fishing, or any other water-related activities. Waterproof shoes have a special membrane or coating that prevents water from entering the shoe. In summary, if you're going on a hike or planning to spend time near water, it's essential to wear waterproof shoes to protect your feet from getting wet. However, if you're wearing shoes for everyday use or light activities, water-resistant shoes are sufficient.
Buying a shoe is all about the quality and the authenticity!
